About Us

Interior Shop Furniture and Fabrics

Our journey begins with our grandmother, Pauline Morgan, who discovered her passion for international textiles, fabrics, and interior design while working at the iconic Laura Ashley shop on Regent Street in London. Her deep love for property development and beautiful design eventually led her to fulfil a lifelong dream. In 1990, she opened her first retail boutique, West Malling Fabrics in Kent. Soon after, Pauline’s daughter, Susan, joined this creative path, opening Just Fabrics in Hertford in 1991.
During our childhood school holidays, we accompanied Pauline and Susan on buying trips to elite suppliers, even visiting the heritage fabric mills in Scotland. We watched the entire design process first hand—from raw prints rolling off the production line to the completion of grand interior projects. For us, a love of interiors is not just a career path; it is part of our DNA.
Growing a Modern Boutique with Global Scale
Today, the third generation of the family holds the reins of the company. We have successfully evolved our heritage roots into a premier digital showroom, remaining on a daily quest to represent the very essence of classical and contemporary furnishings.
To support the creative visions of our clientele, we have expanded our reach to house an extensive, deeply curated portfolio comprising thousands of stocked products. Based in our Cambridgeshire warehouse, our specialized logistics network allows us to seamlessly serve the entire United Kingdom—proudly offering competitive benefits like free mainland delivery to England and Wales. Furthermore, our premium logistics extend globally, allowing us to safely pack, secure, and ship our luxury furniture pieces with a modern twist to exclusive residential and commercial design projects worldwide.
A Legacy of Trust and Excellence
Even as a large-scale operation, La Maison Chic strictly preserves the core values of our family business. From the very beginning, our brand name has been a byword for excellence, reliability, and discreet sophistication. This long-standing commitment to customer care and premium craftsmanship is proudly reflected in hundreds of highly rated reviews across leading independent platforms.
Whether you are seeking an ornate hand-carved mahogany bed or a beautifully mirrored armoire wardrobe, the third generation of the La Maison Chic family is here to bring timeless elegance into your home.
